Quarterly Treasurer’s Report

It’s been a busy few months on the roads and trails, and I’m pleased to share that our financial pacing is looking just as strong as your weekend long runs. As we wrap up the first quarter of the year, this report provides a transparent look at the club’s finances.

Our primary goal this quarter was to ensure that every dollar of your membership dues is working toward building a better experience for our runners. As we stated at the winter meeting, we plan to use your responses to the survey to formulate the budget for the remainder of the year.

At the winter meeting, I also explained how we hope to secure income sources in addition to membership dues. In the second quarter, the board will share plans (and a request for volunteers!) for a new BCTC race event targeted in late summer. And, of course, the club receives a small percentage from merchandise sales via the team store at Pressio.

Whether you’re a podium finisher or a dedicated “party pace” enthusiast, the board strives to ensure that these numbers reflect commitment to keeping the club sustainable, inclusive, and ready for the miles ahead.
