The Glass Jug Beer Lab and Bull City Running Co. are proud to present the 5th annual Bull City Beer Mile on Saturday, April 25, 2026 in Downtown Durham’s Central Park.

What is a Beer Mile? A 1-mile drinking race combining running and speed drinking. Typically, the race takes place on a 1/4-mile running track (flat). We will be running around Central Park (not flat!). The race begins with the consumption of a 12-oz beer (RUN DRM lager brewed by The Glass Jug Beer Lab), followed by a 1/4 mile lap around the park. The second lap continues similarly; another 12-oz beer is consumed before commencing the running of the second lap. This process is repeated for the next two laps. Following the completion of the fourth beer and fourth running lap, you will cross the finish line!
