DESCRIPTION:Not running the Uwharrie Mountain Run this year? Bull City Racing needs plenty of volunteers to support these trail races. Volunteers are offered early entry into next year’s race. \n\n\n\nVolunteer opportunities include: \n\n\n\n\nPre-race course set up (Friday\, 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM)\n\n\n\nAid station supply packing in Asheboro\, NC (Friday\, 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM)\n\n\n\nPre-race packet pick up in Asheboro\, NC ( Friday\, 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM)\n\n\n\nParking volunteers (Saturday\, 6:30-8:30 AM)\n\n\n\nRace day packet pick up (Saturday\, 6:00-9:00 AM)\n\n\n\nAid station volunteers (Saturday; times vary)\n\n\n\nSupply truck unloading\, downtown Durham (Sunday\, 10:00 AM – noon) \n\n\n\n\nVolunteer details and sign-up to be posted soon. SUMMARY:Uwharrie Mountain Run
DESCRIPTION:Ophir\, NC (Uwharrie National Forest) •The 36th annual Uwharrie Mountain Run offers challenging\, winter\, single-track trail runs of 8\, 20\, and 40 miles in central North Carolina’s Uwharrie National Forest. Rocks\, roots\, creeks\, cookies\, and handmade pottery awards make Uwharrie a perennial favorite among both recreational and elite trail runners. \n\n\n\nAll participants will receive a long sleeve race t-shirt\, complimentary parking and shuttles\, well stocked aid stations\, helpful volunteers\, and plenty of food and refreshments at the finish line. Awards are a special tradition at Uwharrie\, a region known for its beautiful pottery. All finishers receive pottery awards\, and the top overall male and female overall will also receive Altra shoe certificates. Awards are presented as runners finish.
